World Cup 2014 - We Lose To Win Again

The world cup ended on a sad note for many Nigerians who were expecting so much from the senior national soccer team, the Super Eagles. Other African countries also had high hopes that the Super Eagles will soar. Brazilians were seen at the stadium cheering the Eagles and urging them to soar, but alas, it was not meant to happen.
Watching the match between Nigeria and France at a live viewing centre at the Teslim Balogun stadium in Lagos Nigeria, brought to the fore how this single game can help unite this great oil rich nation as hundreds of people sat in the sun to cheer the Eagles to victory, a victory that we still may have to wait for another four years to achieve.
Vincent Enyeama remains my all time favourite, even though he has left while the tournament is still ongoing, he remains my "Man Of The Tournament." And all those hilarious tweets about his various saves? Lol.
Others played well too, like Onazi, Omeruo, Osaze and maybe Oshaniwa. We really expected goals from Emenike, especially after his exploits at the last African Nations Cup in South Africa.
My people, I am not a football fan, I only watch when Nigeria is playing, so I am waiting for 2018, and all the other ones before then.

Cheers.
