GoMyWay - Share your Ride While You Make Money

Okay people, so the price of petrol was moved from 86.50 naira to 145.00 naira. This is even worse for those who reside in traffic prone states like Lagos, where over 80 percent of its over 20 million people live on the mainland, and work on the island - the business and financial centre of the city. Hmmm.
Well no cause for yawa (alarm). A ride-sharing service called Go-My-Way that was launched in June last year could offer some relief for commuters in the traffic clogged commercial capital of Lagos. The Go-My-Way platform connects passengers and drivers going along the same route... well for those who want to avoid the hassles of jumping from one bus to the other.
With a community of about 600 car owners, this may seem like a drop in the ocean, but it is surely helping people who ordinarily will be driving alone, get partners going same route, while making some extra money.
What do you need to do? Simple! As a cab owner, go to their site, put in your data...name, type of car, email address, face-book address, departure time, departure point, last drop-off point, route, your preferences as a driver (Music, Non-smoking, Air-conditioned car?), how many seats available, and the amount to be collected.
Prospective co-travelers can check your profile and then contact you. It is your choice to either accept or not.
I know someone is thinking of the risks involved, yeah me too. But like they say, every business comes with its risk. Even Damilola Teidi, founder of Go-My-Way agrees it was an issue at first, but they are gradually overcoming that.
Well, for those of us who drive through the 12 kilometre length of the Third Mainland bridge twice a day, I am already considering doing this...seriously!!
