BabyGrubz - Range Of Natural Food For Babies

Its been a while since my last post. Baby things happened people. I had a third child, and kinda slowed down a bit. But I'm back again, searching for all the exciting and inspiring stories that we can find.
This story is very dear to me because I found out about this range of baby food after I had my third child and decided she had to eat whole, healthy and natural meals. I mean with all the fitfam that I do and also subject my hubby to, it would be so awful of me to start the little one with over-processed, over-sugared and preservative-filled containers of baby food that line supermarket shelves!
And that was how I found this Nigerian food entrepreneur Seun Sangoloye, the "Mum-In-Chief" of BabyGrubz, a range of baby meals that cater for weaning babies and toddlers.
A graduate of Computer Science, she started the food range in 2013 when she could not find a locally made natural meal to wean her baby. The only available thing she could find were the local pap or the imported brands which she says are heavy with preservatives and lots of sugar.
She did some research, had plenty and plenty of training under UNICEF on nutrition and feeding of infants, and voila, BabyGrubz was birthed.
She produces different meals from locally sourced grains, nuts, vegetables, fruits and fish. All ingredients are dried, blended and processed into powdery baby food. Prices range between 650 naira to 1500 naira.
How awesome is it to know that she only sweetens her range of product with groundnuts and dates?
Today, Sangoleye's little business idea, that she started with money that people already paid into her account after she did a broadcast message, has metamorphosed into millions of naira with over 26 registered distributors across 17 states in Nigeria. She exports to various foreign countries and sells almost a tonne of cereal every week. However, you know how it is with the business environment in Nigeria, there are still lots and lots of challenges, from erratic power supply to high interest rates on bank loans. Sangoleye says seeing happy and healthy children keeps her going.
About 1.6 million children in Nigeria are malnourished according to the UNICEF, partly because mothers do not have the right information on the right foods to feed their children.
So people, we live in a very fast world, if you have no time to prep healthy meals for your infants and you truly desire to give them natural meals, BabyGrubz may just be what you need.
