Folklore Music - Beautiful Nubia

Ufere diiii......wooooo!

Remember that? Especially if you are from the Igbo speaking part of Nigeria. Well it's part of the things we say when listening to stories about the tortoise. Those stories always ended up with a message for the listeners. How I miss them, how my kids will never know that era, how I miss "Tales By Moonlight."

Segun Akinlolu, with the stage name Beautiful Nubia, sings folklore music and there is always a message in it for you. His style of music is nothing you will readily hear on the airwaves as it's not what people, especially the youths really want to listen to, but he is forging ahead and has his own fan base too. His music reflects the ancient wisdom that he was exposed to while growing up.

Merci.
