Raffia Bodied Truck

Hello everyone,

This story is so dear to my heart, it shows how talented and creative we Nigerians are. It took us about 45 minutes from Lagos to Ibadan where we met with 40 year old Mr. Obaniyi Adeoyojo, a craftsman who works with raffia. He produces raffia baskets, cane chairs, cane vases and so on. He decided to turn the body of  his truck to raffia so that it will help him attract more customers as he drives around.

If you are daringly different, and want to stand out from the crowd, you can always send me a mail and I will give you his contact. According to him, it takes about three months to complete one.

This story was the first story we did in January 2013, and as we have entered a new year, it's my little way of saying, happy new year, have an awesome 2014, may all our beautiful ideas come to fruition, amen.
