I get so many Facebook messages from some "picture less" people, bearing names that you can't really tell the origin. I have so many of them in my inbox. They bear funny names like Tessy Kuru, John Palamos, Taim Radi, Ebertha Maestre and Starr Welch. They start with a simple "Hi", and when you respond, the next message you get from them is something like this: "Please I am not really regular on Facebook, could you please send a mail to me on  dadada  so, I can then respond with my pictures."  Na wetin?  Did I ask for your picture? Well I understand that they are all fraudsters but I just like to taunt them and they leave after a while.  The scenario above is what happened to me while searching for the contact of James Olloh. I sent him a message on Facebook, and after two days without getting a response, I went through his contacts, saw someone bearing same surname with him and sent a message to the person asking for James' contact. I wont be writing much. DO you think churches should pay tax? When Nigeria recently recalculated her GDP to incorporate some other sectors like e-commerce, Nollywood and the rest, some people were of the view that churches should have been added because they make mega millions, from tithes, offerings, and other free will donations. I had the opportunity to go for a hostile environment training course in Nairobi, Kenya. For personal and professional reasons, I will leave the bit about my training. Sorry I'm also not gonna share pictures of the training. Okay, so back to my gist, we landed at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi at about 7am in the morning. Airport formalities took less than 30 minutes, and then a two hour drive to the camp - Malewa Wildlife Lodge. This is a place that is worth visiting. Almost everything here is built from natural material, using indigenous building methods. The rooms are built with mud, thatch and a little bit of cement, the windows are built with leather and a zip to either open or shut it. No keys to the doors, just a small wooden latch to hold it in place. Decades ago, most top Nigerian oil companies had only expatriates holding major managerial and expertise positions. Later, things changed a little as we began to see at least more Nigerian men. I went to a cybercafe for the first time in 2001. And then it became a weekly thing for my friends and I. Even though we were not expecting any mail from someone, it just felt like the in-thing for us to do then. And the cybercafes where just every where, with about three to five of them just on one street, and the patronage was quite high. Now, the cybercafes that I see around are a total shadow of what they used to be. Dirty, dusty, old computers, the shops have all lost the glamour they used to have back in the days. For the few cybercafes that are still operating, they are no longer dependent on offering internet services, but mainly to type, print or photocopy documents for people. Internet enabled phones spoilt the business for them I guess, as the world evolved, people could no longer wait to go to cybercafes, they just had to receive and respond to emails in real time. One of those days when we just sit in the office and brainstorm about story ideas, a colleague of mine, Ejiro, told me that we could do a story on "Pink Lips." I'm like whats that, and she explained that its a process where you have a permanently stained lips in any colour of your choice. I thought she was joking and one day, on our way to film another story in Ikeja, we decided to go check the guys out. Iheoma Obibi is one lady who I thought was going to give us a hard time during the filming and interview session, it was the first time I was meeting her after several phone calls. She was just driving in when we got to her gate, so I introduced my self and she says "okay, just park your vehicle outside."
